Opening a Publication Document for the First Time

The first time you open a particular Publication document (an RTF file with embedded XML data), you will be prompted to convert it to the .docx format.

To open a Publication for the first time

1. Open the Publication RTF document.

You are prompted y to convert it.

2. To convert it, click Yes.

Note

If you choose No, the Publication remains in RTF format. You can convert it at a later time by following this procedure.

3. When prompted, enter the filename and click Save.

The Add-In converts the Publication RTF file to a Publication .docx file. You can now work with the Publication document in Word.
